Hello everyone, friends..followers and visitors..
Lovely sunny day here, nights sure are drawing in and a bit chilly...
Had a request from a lady for ideas how to use standard circle dies to make an easel card..
I first made this style card in December 2011.. so thought I would do a tutorial how I made one..not new it has been around since 2011, think it was Melanie on create and craft using circle cutter who I first saw do this style..
Sorry will be picture heavy... will show you the finished sample first..
A4 card cut down to 7" short edge....
6" if you have not got A4 cutting machine.. score MS board 2"7/8 &5"7/8..
find the middle..I used a 4" circle die tape as seen..will not move.
place your cutting plate along your 2"7/8 score line.. this works for any card weather easel or standing on long edge..only difference your fold goes opposite way..(hope you understand)
This is the half cut circle for an easel..if you stood on your long edge you.. you fold the opposite way..
Rosette
cut 2 x 12"x2"3/4 strips... I did 3" wide...my punch took this to 2"3/4 wide I then scored between each scallop..
accordion fold both strips..
glue with pva one of your edges.
then the edge to form a circle..
punch side down
push the top towards the centre your punched edge will b on the outside.. hot glue to keep this shape..PLEASE be careful with hot glue & fingers..wonder how I know that..LOL.
Finished decorated card..
hope this has given you some ideas for using your circle dies..
